The Bronze Age At HalaiNo Bronze Age material has been found at Halai, despite claims in the past to the contrary. The lack of Bronze Age remains at the site is puzzling, since a "man of Halai" is mentioned several times in Mycenaean Linear B tablets from Thebes in Boeotia. CHELP surveys, however, have documented rich Bronze Age material at the tidal island of Mitrou, to the SW of Halai near the modern town of Tragana. See Image Archive under Mitrou.
